Das Fest (Originaltitel: dän. „Festen“) ist der erste nach den Regeln der dänischen Gruppe Dogma 95 produzierte Spielfilm.

Der Film war Dänemarks Kandidat auf eine Nominierung in der Kategorie Bester fremdsprachiger Film bei der Oscarverleihung 1999, „Thomas Vinterbergs Film ist ebenso wie Lars von Triers “Idioten” ein Beispiel dafür, wie mit kleinen Mitteln große Filme entstehen können.“ (Die Welt)

Lumière and Company: 40 international directors (Costa-Gavras, Peter Greenaway, Claude Lelouch, Arthur Penn, David Lynch, Jacques Rivette, Wim Wenders, Michael Haneke, Spike Lee etc.)    were asked to make a short film using the original Cinematographe invented by the Lumière Brothers, working under conditions similar to those of 1895. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Lumiere Brothers’ first motion picture.
There were three rules: (1) The film could be no longer than 52 seconds, (2) no synchronized sound was permitted, and (3) no more than three takes. The results run the gamut from Zhang Yimou’s convention-thwarting joke to David Lynch’s bizarre miniature epic. (-Mike D’Angelo)

To foil his plan for world domination, wrestling superheroes El Santo and Blue Demon battle the mad Dr. Halder and his army of reanimated monsters. Mitwirkende Monster: Ein Zyklop, ein Wolfsmensch, eine Mumie, ein Vampir, zwei Vampirfrauen, Franquestain, ein zwergenhaftes Monster mit offen liegendem Hirn, ein Haufen Zombie-Handlanger, ein böser Doppelgänger von Blue Demon.

Film über ein Ritual der Hauka, einer damals weitverbreiteten Sekte in Westafrika. Jean Rouch stellt den Kult dar, bei dem die Teilnehmer in Trance von Geistern besessen werden, die für die ehemalige europäische Kolonialmacht stehen, etwa den Generalgouverneur, den Ingenieur, den Lokführer, usw. In dem Kult wurde das Trauma des Kolonialismus verarbeitet.  „ This (conflicted) film is a bizarre and unsettling chronicle of the Hauka movement, a quasi-religious Nigerian sect in which the members enacted rituals where they are “possessed” by various archetypes of European colonialists. Rouch devotes most of his film to a document of one of these rituals, complete with a voiceover that purports to identify the various forms that the Africans are taking on: the General, the Governor, the Doctor’s Wife, and other positions of military and political power within the European ruling authorities.“

Also known as Dogme #2. A group of perfectly intelligent young people decide to react to society’s cult of an aimless, non-creative and non-responsible form of intelligence by living together in a community of “idiots”. Their main activity becomes going out into the world of “normal” people and pretending to be mentally retarded. They take advantage of this situation to create anarchy everywhere they go and try by every possible means to make people annoyed, disturbed, miserable, ridiculous, angered, and shocked.
